Jason Stone Injury Lawyers has announced the winners of its inaugural scholarship program, awarding $2,500 each to two students who demonstrated exceptional leadership, service, and commitment to their communities. The program, which aims to support young people who are already making a difference, selected Sanya Nadeem of East Walpole, Massachusetts, and Samantha Rondo of Lebanon, Maine, from among the applicants.
Sanya Nadeem, a graduate of Montrose School, created a voter guide as part of her Girl Scouts Gold Award project, which evolved into The VOTE Movement, a youth-led nonprofit focused on increasing civic participation among young voters. The initiative has expanded into a network of student ambassadors across more than 25 states and multiple countries. Nadeem also participated in the Carnegie Young Leaders for Civic Preparedness Fellowship and conducted public policy research through an internship with Partners in Democracy. She was elected State Treasurer during Massachusetts Girls State and will attend the University of Pennsylvania this fall to study political science, with aspirations to pursue a career in constitutional or civil rights law.
Samantha Rondo, a criminology student at the University of New England, served as a Community Service Officer with the Kennebunkport Police Department last summer, gaining firsthand experience in law enforcement and community support. The role strengthened her leadership and problem-solving skills and reinforced her passion for public service. Rondo hopes to build a career dedicated to protecting vulnerable populations and combating human trafficking. Her scholarship was designated for children of federal employees.
Jason Stone, founder and president of Jason Stone Injury Lawyers, said, "These students have already accomplished something truly remarkable. Sanya took an idea that started in her own community and helped grow it into a national movement empowering young people to participate in local democracy. Samantha represents another kind of service that is just as important, a commitment to public safety, helping others, and honoring the families of federal workers who help keep our country moving."
The scholarship program reflects the firm's investment in the next generation of leaders. By supporting students who demonstrate initiative and civic engagement, the firm hopes to encourage future advocates and changemakers.
